Peter Pan Onlus

Peter Pan Onlus

This year, the generosity of EPTDA members will benefit the Association Peter Pan, founded in Rome in 1994, with the mission to implement support actions in favour of children and adolescents with onco-hematological diseases and their families - especially supporting those families who do not reside at the place of care - creating support structures that facilitate and welcome them during the whole period of therapy.

The association constantly relates with many stakeholders like hospitals, private companies, public institutions and media, and is committed in spreading awareness and promoting solidarity, advocating the rights of children affected by cancer.

For the initiators and volunteers of Peter Pan, the word "Welcome" means not only provide the opportunity to stay for free in a comfortable environment all the time of treatment; It means to recreate that atmosphere of "normality" of which one usually appreciates the value only after it is lost.

Impressive figures recommend them already as a model of social-health integration: 200 volunteers, more than 600 families accommodated since 2000 and many hours of service hours, 24/7 and 365 days a year.

We gladly join this association’s noble cause and adopt their saying that “Love is always part of the treatment”.
