How and what to… EPTDA 2024 Gothenburg Annual Business Convention

A few recommendations that will enhance your experience as a convention delegate.

EPTDA’s Annual Business Conventions are considered one of the most popular events in the Power Transmission/ Motion Control industry in Europe. The event can be sometimes fatiguing, but, nonetheless, exciting. So, here are a few lines about what is going to happen in September, that will help you better navigate this experience.

If not done already, use the dedicated link to book your room for a discounted price at the Gothia Towers Hotel.

Convention App

Make sure you have downloaded the EPTDA Convention App from Brella and start using it. You have there the official program, the list of participants with whom you can already connect and interact. Before and especially during the convention, you will get notifications in real time, helping you organize your agenda better and arrange your networking meetings.

MD-IDEX meetings

If you are participating in the MD-IDEX meetings, plan your topics agenda for the booked meetings.

Make sure to:

Check your travel itineraries, pack your bags, bring some joy and excitement – the convention is about to start for you. Don’t forget to check your emails too, the EPTDA Bureau might have some last-minute messages for you.

How to dress?

The dress code is Business Casual attire. We want you to feel comfortable while discussing with your peers, colleagues, business partners.

At the event

Welcome, you are now part of the #EPTDA2024Gothenburg Annual Business Convention! (of course we encourage you to use the hashtag # when posting on LinkedIn). Now, let’s see what’s happening during the event:

Wednesday, 18 September

Registration Desk for the EPTDA 2024 Convention opens at 9:00 a.m, in the Gothia Towers Hotel, up on the 1^st floor – the business conference floor. Go there and you can pick-up your delegate pack, including your event badge. If you need any information, you can ask the hostesses that will be there to help you.
In the afternoon, the EPTDA Leadership Academy Workshop is taking place, from 13:30 to 16:30. If you registered for it, you will be guided to the workshop room. If you didn’t register for it, go to the next point.

The Welcome Reception will take place in a special location: the newly opened World of Volvo location. There will be buses waiting to take you there, and you will be assigned a bus number, so you know when to leave the hotel. Benefit of the Welcome Reception to warm-up, have a drink, meet other delegates, maybe visit the exhibition at the World of Volvo, if you want.
The Welcome Dinner starts around 20:00 and… we won’t say much now, but the presentations and the entertainment part are a surprise that we hope you will enjoy! This year is special as we welcome the new EPTDA President, Mr. Henrik Walter, CEO at Nomo Group.

Thursday, 19 September

Enjoy your morning routine – hit the gym, have a good breakfast, have a walk – whatever works for you!
The Registration Desk is now moved – at 08:30 AM, come and meet us in Exhibition Hall F, from the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre. Get through the World of the EPTDA first and don’t miss the Opening and Keynote Presentations, focused on “Supply Chain — Nearshoring Supply Chains and Net Zero Target”. A panel discussion will take place, some interesting debates might take place!

After this informative morning, let’s charge your batteries with a good lunch buffet at the Seasons restaurant! You will need some energy for the following MD-IDEX meetings and Open Networking meetings. Check your app for notifications!

Friday, 20 September

Repeat to yourself: I will have a good day today! Or whatever morning mantra works for you, repeat your morning routine and get ready for a new day of networking!
Only female delegates are invited to a dedicated networking breakfast, part of the Women in the Industry program. It takes place from 08:00 – 09:00 in the Gothia Towers – details will be shared on email.
MD-IDEX sessions take place from 09:30 to 13:30. You will have some coffee breaks and at 13:30, lunch is served in the hotel. It will also be the time when we say our goodbyes, but the day is not over!
Starting at 15:00, the afternoon is reserved for you to enjoy Open Networking meetings, or just enjoy your time as you wish in the World of EPTDA area or anywhere in Exhibition Hall F.
